Photo: Is this Apple’s Mac tablet on the table?
NVidia CEO Jen-Hsun “whoop ass” Huang was recently interviewed in Dubai where he went on about his love for Apple products, which fill his home. However, as he went on about how well his company is getting on with the Cupertino, California-based Mac, iPod and iPhone maker, there was something completely out of place on the desk in front of him, which looks remarkably like a legendary though still unreleased Apple product — the Mac tablet.
Engadget has brought the following photo to our attention and it’s hard not to agree with writer Donald Melanson’s characterization of the device pictured as “some seriously radical looking hardware.”

Forgive my active sense of imagination, but that black, round/beveled edge device with a single button whose design is centered on the large (10-inch?) display looks a lot like a certain unreleased touch/tablet device — that no has actually seen — said to be lurking in the bowels of 1 Infinite Loop…
What’s your take?

Could be anyone’s tablet or concept device. Whatever it is, I’d like something like that if it’s touchscreen and plays movies and games.

The colours around the button are reminiscent of Microsoft or Google, not Apple.

Looks more like an HP product. If you Adjust the brightness and contrast you can see that it looks like there is a camera and speaker holes at the top of the screen. Plus it looks like he is playing some sort of 1st person shooter who is in some sort of warehouse. I don’t think it’s Apple’s.

Use the water bottle for perspective. It’s about 10 inches tall. That makes the screen much larger than 10″ diagonally.

oh come on, you guys take your reporting too seriously, take any size LCD display without the stand – it will look like a Apple Tablet

Considering Apple’s usual NDAs and the probability of being personally eviscerated by Steve, I’d be surprised if such a blatant, in-your-face leak was genuine.

My guess would be HP, Toshiba or Acer. Wrong look for Asus. It is unlikely to be creative’s new media tablet as they are using their own processor as direct rivals to Nvidias Tegra unit.

It’s an ODM Tegra prototype.
