PsyStar Web site goes dark, company officially calls it quits
Well short of its second anniversary, the Florida-based Mac cloner’s online presence has gone the way of the dodo, which probably means the company itself is no more, too. Well, at least we can hope as much.
PsyStar.com is no longer responding. Given that company largely existed only online — they could come back — it seems entirely possible this could be the end for the hackintosh maker.
Further thereto, The Wall Street Journal is reporting comments from Psystar lawyer as saying that president Rudy Pedraza will be “shutting things down immediately. They will not be in business.” The company has let its eight employees go, as well.
OK, that’s a definite “he said, he said,” which decreases the likely “truthiness” of this news. It’s probably true that PsyStar is indeed dead as a doornail, but Web sites come and go like mushroom following rain.
Moreover, the Pedraza brothers have certainly exuded an easy, natural sleaziness and it wouldn’t surprise me to see them back in some form or another—i.e. Mac sleaze extraordinaire Jack Campbell is back again—as soon as the courts start working on PsyStar’s second and final bankruptcy…
What’s your take?

Just checked your link to PsyStar.com and the site came up with no indications that they are going out of business. They still have an ad up for Rebel EFI.
