Got a mobile itch that you just can’t scratch? Well, the latest rumors posit that the Cupertino, California-based Mac, iPhone, iPod and — very, very soon — tablet maker has been spotted out and about schilling the iSlate (nay, iPod touch on steroids) to book publishers, who in turn say launch will come before WWDC 2010.

Yesterday was notable for the swell of competing and sometimes conflicting rumors that talks between the streaming music service and the Cupertino, California-based Mac, iPod and iPhone maker were getting hot and heavy. Now, Apple’s confirmed that it has purchased Lala, though details are sparse.

With the advent of Snow Leopard, Mac users can no longer quickly and easily download and save updates from within the Software Update application. Thankfully, an eager beaver with scripting abilities has gone and solved this problem for the rest of us.
