Adobe uses porn site screencap to underscore iPad’s lack of flash
Here’s a laugh. Adobe’s latest salvo, official or otherwise, against Apple has taken the dispute into uncharted waters — they posted a screencap of a hardcore porn website (Bang Brothers of all places) showing videos that purportedly aren’t viewable on the iPad.
It’s really hard to imagine the people at Adobe don’t realize how desperate and, frankly, absurd these gestures make them look. Oh well, that’s no reason to not enjoy this particular moment.

And, then the Flash Blog, run by an Adobe employee, retracted the screencap and issued this apology:

And, how about this note later on from the “unofficial blogger” trying to distance Adobe from this silly, silly affair.
I feel I need to set something straight to stop the rampant misrepresentation of this post. Firstly, this is not the official Flash blog of Adobe. I am one of hundreds of employees that blog. Secondly, regarding the screenshot of the adult website, that was added by me in an attempt to be humorous.
Dude, you totally succeeded, but not in the way you planned.
The kicker? And, this is truly rich. According to Cult of Mac, Bang Brothers offer iPad playable versions of the videos in question. Shnork.
That was a lot more entertaining than any Flash animation or video I’ve ever seen.
Incompetence is its own reward…
