At face value, iDisplay is a simply brilliant concept — use a wireless connection from a Mac to iPhone, iPod touch or iPad that turns the mobile device into a shared display. Just fire iDisplay up, drag an application onto the mobile device and then go to work.

Apple’s long-running advertising for the Mac hasn’t been updated since last year. Although there have been some good spots since, I’ve been saying for about a year that the campaign jumped the shark and Apple has finally come to the same conclusion.
