Adobe’s made the questionable decision to use a historical metaphor to described recent Apple moves to block Flash from the iPhone OS platform. Thereupon, it’s pretty easy to aptly extend that metaphor to include Adobe, which is still futilely pushing its last century multimedia technology.

There seemed to be a lingering question in a lot of minds right up to the launch of the iPad. Tablets had failed before, even when tried by Apple. Was this one going to fail, too? With a million sales in a month, not hardly.

The mothership’s enemies (a.k.a. Adobe) have called in their political chits to get this far, generating a lot of noise and smoke. Nevertheless, there’s no certainty there will be an investigation as Apple’s far from being a monopoly.

It seems that every other tech news headline is about Google vs. Apple. One has to wonder if these stories are written because they sell soap or if there is really an epic battle going on between the two companies.

Here’s a joke of a situation — someone in the government wants another part of the government to investigate Apple over its exclusion of Flash on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Thereupon, two departments have been tapped, but only one will be expected to do this nasty bit of work.

It would appear as though the Apple iPad Wi-Fi + 3G model sold well on its first weekend, though not nearly as well as the Wi-Fi-only model did during the weekend that Apple’s tablet was initially released.
