Jobs going to camp, schmoozing on the schedule
Shark in the water! Well, actually, it’s all of the biggest sharks in the ocean and they’re all gathering at a swanky mountain resort where media mogul, industry giant and tech titan elbows will be rubbed, num nums consumed and alliances forged.
Bloomberg reports that Apple’s dear leader will be attending the annual Allen & Company media conference in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho from July 6 through July 10. In addition to Steve Jobs, attendees are expected to include Rupert Murdoch, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Bob Iger, Henry Kravis, Mark Zuckberg, Eric Schmidt, Terry Semel, Jerry Yang and Ken Auletta who is the event’s organizer.
These A-listers will spend their mornings giving and watching presentations. The rest of their days will be spent doing yoga, golfing, shooting trap, licking their fingers around the barbecue and generally having a good time. It’s believed that alcohol will be served.
Jobs previously attended the event in 2005 and 1999. Maybe this year Jobs can finally convince the television and movie people to leave the 20th Century behind…
