How much will it cost Apple to recall the iPhone 4? A cool $1.5-billion and change say people we’re told are experts on such matters. How much would it cost to silence, permanently or otherwise, the whiny little so-in-sos whinging endlessly about the one little corner of the iPhone 4 they shouldn’t touch? Priceless.

Although it is hard to sort out the rumors and non-scientific guesswork around the iPhone 4 reception problem, at least one negative report has gained traction and that one has caused Apple stock to dip.

Previously, the benchmark consumer testing group had said they hadn’t seen anything especially unique or bad about the iPhone 4′s antenna issues. Now, after having actually tested the device, they’re singing a different song and I doubt it will strike a chord with Apple.

China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center has posted a notice on its Web site announcing that iPhones with WiFi capabilities can now be sold and used inside China.

News flash — tablet devices are poised to become hot sellers. Further, the competitors least prepared for the onslaught, i.e. Microsoft and their PC notebook fellow travelers, will bear the brunt in the form of lost cachet and sales.
