Wanna watch it again? Steve’s keynote is to ready to run

September 1, 2010

The event is over and usually we have to wait several before the cached stream of the event gets posted at Apple.com for all to see. Not this time, however, as the live stream of the event has been transitioned seamlessly to the cache and it’s ready for you to watch right now.

The same web page where you watched Steve Jobs do his live thing, introducing the new iPods, iOS 4 updates and iTunes 10, is the same you need to visit to watch the cached stream. Yup it’s ready and rolling for you to watch, pause, scrub and resume at your leisure.

That said, although there were some playback hickups during the live event, as well as a couple instances where I got kicked back to the beginning, I was very impressed overall with the quality and look forward to seeing Apple build out to its logical extremes (i.e. live scrubbing, pop window, live social, etc.) the HTTP Live Streaming technology in OS X + QuickTime X.

What’s your take?
