A small fillip to buyers of Apple products and it’s practical effect will be muted at best. Why? Well, the you can only transfer an AppleCare policy from a product purchased in the last 30 days and transfer it to a new eligible product — not exactly generous.

Apple has set the master time switch in the iTunes store three times longer. Now, all of us get song previews that are 90 seconds long instead of just 30, making it easier to tell that we have the right song.

What a pointless, yet entertaining, factoid. And, do you hear that sound? It’s the distinctively annoying emanation of analysts whining. Sheesh, you’d think it was their money, which it isn’t it, and why aren’t these people satisfied with a tripling of Apple’s share price since the launch of the iPhone?

BOKU is a start-up in San Francisco that is a pioneer in the payment-by-mobile-phone business and they apparently do it well enough that both Apple and Google want to acquire the company.

Infrastructure makes the economy go round and building that out is generally the purview of state and local government, and those folks are broke. However, a handful of localities are tapping an entirely new of source of development funding.

Apple must be making sure that there are no attorneys or judges standing idle, having just sued Motorola in the free-for-all that is the current legal side of cell phone intellectual property rights.

Although his volume has appeared to taper off somewhat in recent weeks, email exchanges between Steve Jobs and users has been a valuable of information. And, then there have been some notable fakes, though this one seems to be genuine, as close as one can tell.
