The Apple iPad rumor mill appears to be running overtime when it comes to the second generation iPad. If Apples really expects to sell 65 million of these things next year, maybe the iPad 2 will have all of these.

The current scuttlebutt says that Apple will be building 65 million iPads (the original and the iPad 2) in 2011, so we must assume that they plan on selling that many. Can they really sell that many tablet computers?

When Apple gets a zit, the media and blogsphere rise to the occasion to declare terminal cancer. Yet the patient hasn’t died let alone sneezed and the iPhone 4 remains pristine, unchanged in the wake of record sales.

If a new rumor turns out to be true, Apple may well have three models of the next generation iPad instead of two, adding a CDMA tablet to the existing Wi-Fi only and UMTS models.

Apple has been sued at least twice by people whose iPhones and / or iPads have allowed advertisers to build profiles on them via apps that allowed ad tracking code. Google’s Android may be next in line.

In a year where Apple beat out Microsoft as the biggest tech company, Steve Jobs’ continued stewardship of the company included record sales for the iPhone and huge numbers for the iPad.

From hype to has been in the space of a single quarter. Although it’s rumored that Logitech and Sony together will have sold 1-million Google TV-branded devices this holiday season, the platform has been an inglorious flop. However, if you’re still in the mood, I suspect that eBay and Craigslist will be choked with ‘em and soon.

The rest of us probably didn’t know, but Mac OS X has offered Cherokee language support since 2003. Now, the Cupertino, CA-based company is working to bring support for this native American language to the iPhone and eventually the iPad, as well.

Once upon a time there was a company who used a clever design trick to make their cell phone antenna look like stylish trim. Apple will not do THAT again, and will instead hide antennas behind their logo.
