If your delivery is less than your words, people will call you arrogant, cocky, egotistical, etc. and, if you’re way off the mark, even delusional. Interestingly, Steve Jobs has created and successfully — often wildly so — marketed numerous world changing products and many say the people who buy them are delusional.

Despite the fact that few if any Mac users have actually been affected by malware, Apple gets a lot of grief for not taking security seriously. Nevertheless, the mothership is building new security features into its next-generation computer operating system, Mac OS X Lion, which some of among us refer to as version 10.7.

Last Fall Steve Jobs promised that the long overdue Final Cut update would blow people away and that users should be patient and hang in there. Now, Apple’s given a select group of post production professionals a pre-release peek at the new version and at least one them came away very much impressed.

Interesting news day, don’t you think? Earlier today a rumor out of Taiwan posited that the iPad won’t ship until June and now here come “multiple [ed-unnamed] sources” claiming the mothership has an iPad 2-flavored event planned for next week.

Faster processors, bigger glass trackpad and even a best of both world’s hard disk drive plus solid state drive storage package are all said to be part of the mix when Apple finally ships updated pro portables. Now, the wait is just about over and you just might able to christen one on Steve Jobs’ birthday.

Apple is famous for being tight lipped and one of the more interesting things they didn’t tell us during last month’s Q4 earnings conference call was how well the company’s doing in the corporate space. Although the starting point is small, Mac growth is changing the face of the market.
