Where to buy a red Mac for Valentine’s Day
No one is complaining about the design of Apple’s iMac, Mac Mini or family of MacBooks — but the color is a bit boring.
Sure, that metallic, industrial-looking silver looks attractive in your home office, but what about blue? Yellow? Better yet — Valentine’s Day is around the corner. What about red? There are companies out there that can help you get that red Mac in your hands.
The most popular company is ColorWare — a company that allows you to customize everything from Beats Studio by Dre headphones to MacBooks (sorry, iMacs aren’t available. Yet)
Of course, this is going to add a premium to the device (for example, an iPad Mini will run you $650), but you will turn some heads at the local coffee shop when you pop that red Mac out of your bag.
A MacBook Pro starts at $1,950, and allows you to customize the outside and inside color of the Mac, in addition to giving you the option of a glossy or matte finish. Mac Minis will run you about $1,000.
We talked about the “tech mistakes” you can make on Valentine’s Day earlier. ProFlowers outlined those snafus. I can assure you that if you’re gifting one of these colored Macs for Valentine’s Day, you won’t be making a tech mistake. You’ll be loved.
But you might also be broke.
You’ll be adding to the billion dollar industry that is Valentine’s Day. Check out this infographic from Shane Co. jewelers.
