Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to get some iPhone facetime thanks to a few friends of mine (we don’t hold enough clout yet here at Blorge.com to get freebies from Apple), and I will say I was delightfully impressed with some features and downcast and disappointed with others. With the iPhone sleeping peacefully in stores until tomorrow’s debut, OS X Tiger winning fans long-associated with the Windows camp, and Leopard poising itself for complete domination of a currently feeble next-gen OS showing, Apple is solidifying itself as the champion of consumer hearts in all aspects of life. 2007 is quickly proving itself to be the year that Apple flexes its creative muscle and engrains itself in the hearts and minds of consumers worldwide with its powerful trifecta: the iPod, the iPhone, and OS X.

Sprint, in stark contrast to Verizon’s deny-all-threat-posed-by-iPhone mentality, has released a document to its employees in preparation for the iPhone release. This document reveals Sprint anticipates losing 6% of its customer base to iPhone business, and includes ways to defend against losing business, with everything from highlighting mp3 functionality of Sprint smartphones to quoting sources who say things like, “industry analysts and publishers agree that Sprint leads the industry in technology and innovation.”…oh, how the mighty have fallen.

One of the first things done surrounding Windows Vista was releasing all the betas to the public in mass; it is very well known that any savvy user can obtain a full working copy of nearly any Microsoft operating system via bit torrents or other means. However, such is not the case with OS X Leopard, as there are no copies of the near-complete OS circulating the internet; could this be due to a more unified and progress-minded user base in Apple fans?

If Apple hadn’t fully “brought it” on the iPhone until now, the full gammit has now been thrown down: Apple informed the public today in a press release that the iPhone’s previous talk time of 5 hours is going to be actually 8 full hours of talk time, and the controversial touch-screen will be composed of a sturdy glass top surface.

So we all have that fantastic image of coming home to an adoring partner who relishes our every word, listens to us unquestioningly, and most importantly thinks we’re demi-gods. How great would it be to get our girlfriends (for those of us that have them) to love Macs as much as we do? In this article I’ll point out how valuable this could be, and how you could get that loved one to love Macs as much as they love you.

Though Apple has released the iPhone’s debut date, one important question is still unanswered; what will it really cost? One anonymous AT&T store manager said users will get their WiFi…when they sign a contract locking them into a data plan and EDGE. Kiss your dreams of WiFi reliance goodbye.

There will always be the Dvoraks and general naysayers spouting flamebait and ignorant nothings regarding Macs and their beautiful operating systems; if there weren’t, well, Microsoft would be SOL. However, as someone who respects quality writing, I cannot let this go: Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet has established herself as the most technologically ignorant writer on the internet with her article, essentially saying that OS X Leopard is a half-ass attempt at replicating Vista.
