If you were hoping to get your hands on an iPhone on June 29, there may be hope for you yet; though millions have expressed an interest in purchasing the new phone, Apple has (according to Engadget) prepped 3 million iPhones for the exciting launch. However, if you are under the impression that you can sit back for a couple weeks and get the iPhone after playing with it and thinking out the purchase, you can forget about it.

The infamous savior to a lethargic cell phone market has yet to even make its way into customer hands for a demo, and the waves it is making just keep getting bigger. No doubt a direct response to the release of both updated MacBook Pros and the recent rash of iPhone commercials, Apple stock has hit an all-time daytime closing high of $124.069 a share.

The rumors were true! It was bound to happen at some point in time; Apple’s MacBook Pro line has received the coveted Santa Rosa chipset upgrade as well as LED displays, and a few other upgrade goodies today. After all, us Mac forecasters can’t possibly be wrong all the time, could we?

You can now officially allow your excitement to peak for the first time since we saw the beauty of the iPhone back in January: last night, Apple released 3 iPhone commercials that aired on tv, and those commercials confirmed rumors that the iPhone will hit AT&T and Apple retail locations June 29th.

I know this was in a flurry of other Apple news and I didn’t have a chance to announce it, but Apple TV got a serious kick in the pants; previously holding only 40Gb of content, it can now be purchased with a 160 Gb hard drive, a serious step up from its previous place. Now the Apple Tv is something not only worth buying, but also considering for the next step to HD streaming.

All the “I’m a Mac” commercials and recent advertising campaigns have really stirred up a hornets’ nest of conversation surrounding Apple’s best of class operating system; all the naysayers who previously stuck to their Windows guns still aren’t considering a switch to Mac hardware, but rather are insisting (quite fervently) that Apple will HAVE to take OS X public at some point to really achieve success in the real world. There are a few reasons why this will never happen, so do two things: read the reasons, and then cope with the fact that you will never run OS X on your Dell-configured PC. Never.

The only thing holding back the tidal waves of excitement about the release of the iPhone is that Apple has not announced an official date; it is very hard to take off work, pack your tent and thermos and prepare for a campout when you have no time frame to work with. Well, AppleInsider is reporting that a credible source claims June 29th could be the official day of release, as discussed in privileged circles at Apple retail stores.

If you were considering a leisurely visit to your local Apple haven to test and or pick up an iPhone on launch day, perhaps you should reconsider; Steve Jobs, his high Appleness, said the one thing not to do is visit an Apple store, lest you find yourself camping out amongst other pilgrims desiring the very same thing.

One of the more frustrating (and yet enjoyable) aspects about following Apple news closer than the lives of our family members is that we generally are forced to wait until an updated product hits the market before we know it has been updated. Though rumors have been rampant, some are predicting the much demanded upgrade to the MacBook Pro line (hopefully including LED displays and Santa Rosa chipsets) will be released this Tuesday.

I must admit, every time a new version of Parallels is released, I’m torn; on one hand, I really do desire a strong, safe, system-light method for running Windows on my Mac. However, to this point, none of those prerequisites have been fulfilled. Today, Parallels released version 3.0, and promises not only security, but also seamless gaming, and even an improved version of the Coherence application; too good to be true? Most likely.
