At 354.57MB, this is a great honking update and there is much goodness baked into this dot-refresh of Apple’s popular consumer-grade photo app — just one of three Mac software patches released in conjunction with Apple’s spanky new (audible grown issues from Jobs’ grave) “resolutionary” iPad. The tablet’s just fine, but what’s up with that silly, made up word they’ve tagged it with?

HP, Dell and Acer are just a few of the names hurting in these tough times for traditional computer makers. Yes, Hewlett-Packard is still number one and Dell for most the part hangs to number two. However, as old line competitors continue to stumble, Apple’s Macintosh continues to grow and not by just a little.

The Mac OS X 10.5.5 update out to developers right now is on build 9F13, and the list of fixes for issues just keeps growing. Currently, the list of bug fixes has entered the triple digits, an unusually high number of fixes not seen since, well, the last big update to Leopard.

Recently when I logged into Apple developer website, I noticed that Apple had released Aperture 2.1 SDK. This past March Aperture 1.5 was upgraded to Aperture 2. The upgrades for Aperture 2 were impressive. As an Aperture user I was extremely impressed with the upgrades. Apple also lowered its price.
