As expected our favorite fruit company has delivered its best ever quarter for Macs and iPhones, resulting in revenues of nearly $10 billion and a $1.67 billion profit. So, even as the recession bites deeply and unemployment rises, the company’s growing legion of customers continue to single out Mac, iPod and iPhone as being the value leaders in every category where Apple competes.

One of the things users like about the iPhone is its tight integration with Google maps, but it looks like Apple is moving towards a proprietary mapping system and away from Google.

An article that’s chock full of quotes from an Intel I/O division talking head, leads off with the words, “industry sources say.” Although chipzilla wonks can technically be referred to as industry sources in the same article in which they’re (more than likely) quoting them by name, it seems like a little face saving is going on here.
