We knew it would eventually happen, Apple was going to eventually take action against Psystar. The question was when. On July 3, 2008 Apple filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California. The suit alleges counts for violation of its shrink wrap license, trademark, and copyright infringement. Google has long been a fan of Apple and its products, but it wasn’t until recently that it translated into useful development for the Mac platform. Mac use on the Google campus has reached about 30% (or approximately 6,000 of their 20,000 employees use Macs as their preferred platform). This means that those Mac lovers are using Google’s famous 20 percent time to develop applications for the platform they love.

Apple’s OS X Leopard, now on update 10.5.3, has long been accused of being released before it was ready. Apple is already working on update 10.5.4 just a short week after releasing the last major update, which had nearly 200 fixes and upgrades in it. It comes as something of a surprise, then that rumors of an OS X 10.6 would be circulating as a potential WWDC announcement.

If you have had a Mac for as long as I have, and if you also have an irreverent sense of humor, you have at least tried playing the popular cult Mac game Postal. This game stretches even the most macabre sense of humor to its limits, so I was surprised to hear a movie was being made based on it and released here (if you can call 15 theaters a release).
